Listening to the Inner Landscape
Seasonal Reflections + A Note on Growth
How are you? I hope you’re moving gently through this season. In my last newsletter, I shared some reflections on change and the ending of a cycle — something I know many of us have been feeling in our own ways.
There’s a lot shifting in the world right now, and it can shape the inner landscape of our being in profound ways. Nature reminds us of this constantly. The other day, I glanced at a bouquet of flowers I brought home from the market, and in that simple moment I was reminded that everything blooms in its own time.
Nothing in nature can be forced to reveal what it is capable of.
The struggle from darkness into light…
The quiet threshold of transformation…
The unveiling of beauty — its flaws, its brilliance…
Even its soft fading…
All of it unfolds on its own timeline.
And our creative process often mirrors this.
Trusting that unfolding can feel unsettling and freeing all at once. Listening deeply to your inner landscape invites something richer: present-moment awareness. When we pause to listen, we give ourselves permission to not have all the answers.
How we listen becomes the way we move through the world — with ourselves, with our families and communities, and with the world around us, both near and far.
Does listening bring old fears to the surface?
Yes.
Does it open the door to something bigger?
Also yes — but only when we’re willing to stay with the questions that arise.
In my own listening, one thing that continues to surface is my next Advanced 300hr Teacher Training beginning February 2026. I have my own fears around it, and I also have deep faith in what I’ve created. This course is rich, layered, and rooted in conversation that expands far beyond collecting hours. It’s about widening your capacity — as a teacher, a student, and a human being.
