"Very insightful and 100% worth it..."

“When I started taking classes with Jade, I could tell that Yoga isn't just a movement practice for her.  It's a lifestyle.  She embodies the practice of yoga.  She embodies the principles of yogic philosophy.  I really liked her teaching style.  She's very disciplined.  Very into anatomy, and not just the shapes and the movements in the asana practice.  Her classes felt very holistic and well rounded.  There's the physical aspect, obviously, the movement, but there was also the philosophical, the anatomical, and the spiritual.  I really connected with all of that.” ~ Maria White

What you'll learn

  • Best Practices: The focus here is how to productively discern in the student-teacher relationship with intuitive insight. Students who do consistent-structured practice tend to be easier to gauge vs students of a non-structured practice. Best practices is about inquiring into the subtleties of change within a practice while empowering the student to tap into their own inner teacher. As your intuition refines with time and experience, so does this skill set in space holding.
  • Extensive History of Yogic Philosophy: Expand your knowledge of the history and philosophy of yoga through the different lens throughout history and applying critical thinking to various commentaries.
  • Advanced Anatomy and Biomechanics: The more you know about the body, its makeup and how it functions, the more tools you have to guide others and yourself safely.  You will learn about Spiral Theory, mechanics in movement and stillness, and symbiotic relationships with the body. Explore how to apply this all of this knowledge to Asana safely and intelligently.
  • Ayurveda Philosophy:  The science of life. Deepen your knowledge of this ancient living system of health and wellness. Explore Ayurveda's philosophy practices on yoga.
  • Supportive Practices: Trauma Training and Yoga Nidra.  Learn how language plays out in the body.  Gain knowledge on how to implement mindful tools in getting the nervous system to rest so it can process anything that is present in the moment.
  • Living Your Yoga: Learn how to bring your yoga practice off your mat and into daily life.Instead of focusing on shutting the mind off, you’ll learn how to direct the mind to places that cultivate stillness in thought and reaction.
  • Subtle Body: Stirha Sukham Asanam "the seat of the asana is held with steadiness, comfort and ease".  This is where we bridge the gap between yoga's physical practice and meditation. By unpacking the layers of the koshas "sheaths" that are within every BODY, we gain a better understanding of the importance of each layer, and how they are woven throughout our practices.
  • Sanskrit: Sanskrit was the language spoken at the birth time of yoga. When spoken it can have a profound affect on the brain and consciousness. The symbolism behind each asana has more depth in the Sanskrit language than the English translation.  Awaken the throat and third eye chakra with learning the pronunciation, and understanding of terms through sutras, japa and mantras.
  • Multi-level Teaching: Grow your skill set in teaching yoga through observation, inclusive language, accessible cueing, rules of modifications and productive demoing. Making people feel comfortable in their individual body while moving through a practice of self-discovery is what we are aiming for.
  • Assists: Before offering an adjustment it is important to know when, where, what, how, and why you are doing it to begin with. To understand the nature of an assist and how to apply it to a student,  the teacher should have a good experience physically, of actually doing the asana. Followed by an understanding of the quality of the asana and the "intention" behind it. The more anatomical knowledge you have about the body, the better you will be at kinesthetically assisting the student in their journey of understanding themselves and the practice.
  • The Business of Yoga: Do you want to grow your career as a part-time or full-time Yoga Teacher? This section of the training will focus on how to build your business, smart marketing, niche vs mainstream, creating an LLC, working as an employee vs IDC, and more.

"Nothing short of life changing..."

“Jade is an incredibly dedicated, industrious, knowledgeable, and capable individual with a heart of gold. I took my 200 hr teacher training with her and it was nothing short of life changing. Jade strikes a beautiful balance of intensity and compassion in her teaching and training. Jade leaves room for self-adjustment, flexibility, and discovery while also advocating for consistency, discipline, and self-challenge. One of the things I most admire about Jade is her belief in every single one of her students – if you decide to embrace her as a teacher, she will meet you where you’re at 100% of the time, help you to grow, and wish you the best.” ~ Mitchell Kuhn
