Ashtanga Mysore Apprenticeship

Dive deeper into teaching Ashtanga

Why choose this apprenticeship?

This Mysore apprenticeship with Jade is perfect for you if you're a yoga teacher and Ashtanga practitioner who'd like to dive deeper into understanding the depth of practice, how to hold safe space for others, communication, and how to teach multi-level teaching.

Who is it for?

This program is for new/seasoned teachers who wish to dive deeper into their practice and cultivate a more well-rounded understanding of the Ashtanga method. This apprenticeship is a hybrid learning platform where the apprentice will learn/observe/teach both in classroom as well as virtual.

All applicants must have 3 years of an established Ashtanga practice of the Primary series. This does not mean that you have to do all of the postures to textbook format. However, you must have been practicing all of the postures in the Primary series, whether modified or not, for a minimum of 3 years.

How it works

All applicants will be required to practice with the teacher, Jade Skinner, for one month before being accepted onto the apprenticeship.

  • This is an 18-month apprenticeship program.
  • Teachers entering this program must have an established Ashtanga practice of 2 years or more.
  • As an apprentice on this learning platform, you'll work closely alongside Jade and other teachers within the Mysore program.
  • You'll teach and observe in both the physical and virtual shala.
  • This program is for self-development and does not guarantee a teaching position.

"One of the most life altering beings along my journey..."

"Jade Skinner was one of the most life altering beings along my journey. She taught me discipline, how to access my own inner strength I wasn’t aware I had, the power of intention and dedication, confidence, and most importantly for me that it is ok to also surrender! But the physical benefits of her teaching are just the beginning. Jade also helped me to find a deeper level of who I am, to press firmly in, even when the work was hard, and allowed me to know I was supported in that process. The most powerful changes in my life thus far have been supported by this amazing teacher. Even today, hundreds of miles away, my beloved teacher is still by my side assisting my growth, helping my development, not only as a teacher of yoga, but as a student in the journey of life!" ~ Nikki
